"There Was a Problem with Your Renewal Payment"...

I've never had an auto-renewal email make my life flash before my eyes... until today.

It's been 3 years since I started this blog

AND

it's been 2 years and 11 months since I've written on this blog

When the renewal payment was declined because the original card from three years ago has expired, I thought 'nah, I don't want to renew that' and then I suddenly thought about where I was - mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually - three years ago.

Hindsight isn't just 20/20

That old axiom "hindsight is 20/20" hit home a few years ago and I could see the consequences of my choices looking in that rearview mirror. Many were good, some were just dumb, and some were extremely painful.

Regardless, I am who I am today because of all of those choices AND the grace of God!

Not that everything about the last three years suddenly makes sense, but I see how it fits together to be what life is today and I know that "Three Years Ago Me" couldn't have possibly imaged what "Today Me" looks like -

the places I've been,

the battles I've faced,

the blessings God has poured on me,

the PEOPLE,

who I didn't even know existed then,

who are now the MAIN CHARACTERS in my world!

I'm Glad I Took a Break

Honestly, I'm so glad I haven't been blogging for the last three years. I'm going to go back and fill you in on everything, and while I'm still dorky, sarcastic me, we will all get the benefit of meaningful, God-honoring hindsight instead of just snarky musings on randomness.
